Open disclosure training provides clinical communication skills for open and honest discussion with patients when an adverse event occurs.
Workshop training is available for medical clinicians who may lead or participate in open disclosure. Topics covered include how to engage with patients when something goes wrong including expressions of regret, explanations, consequences of the event and dealing with emotions during difficult conversations.
